It's a Birthday Bash at Crafting by Designs

Hi everyone, Doris here with

a brand new challenge at Crafting by Designs.

It's a Birthday challenge!

I don't know about you, but I have LOTS of birthdays to celebrate

in June, so I like to keep lots of birthday cards in my stash.

I couldn't get a picture in some natural light so the colors look

a little funny to me, but this was such a fun image to color.

I added some stickles to the shamrock and it just pops off the page.

Hi everyone, Doris here to share a few

quick filler cards I made for a pocket page layout.

Even though the Authentique Anchored paper line

has a nautical theme, the papers worked great for this layout.

This picture is from my daughter Amy's wedding this past

December during the father/daughter dance.

My husband was just dreading this part of the wedding,

and they both got emotional as soon as the music started.

How could it be that she was all grown up

and not the little girl who used to hold his hand?

Where's my tissue?

I used three images from the Silhouette store for

the layout to keep the cards flat - I love that mason jar!

This layout took no time at all - hope you like it!

June Anything Goes Challenge

Hi everyone, Doris here with a

new challenge at Crafting by Designs:

June Anything Goes!

We have three great sponsors and

I've made two cards to share with you.

 

This first card was made

using My Heart Pieces - I Love You 1

from Stitchy Bear.

 

 

I did some paper piecing with this image and printed it on some

blue velumn for the base, colored the fish with some

Copics and stickles, and paper pieced

the fancy paper straw and strawberry.  Then I

wanted a fruity drink with a fancy straw and strawberry :)

 

 This next little card was made

using Old Pump from

Beccy's Place

 I chose this image because I have a water pump like

this on my patio that I just love.

This was such an awesome paper line to work with!
I kept this card very clean and simple and
added just a bit of red/white bakers twine for
a pop of color.  Later in the week I'll share
a pocket page layout using this paper line
as well.
