Hello blogland!  Where oh where did summer go?  September is right around the corner and I'm enjoying the last few days of August.

Challenge: Monochromatic

August 20 - 26th, 2013

Hi everyone!  Today I want to share my project for this week's challenge at Cuttin and Stampin.  Did you ever know exactly what you wanted to make and it just wasn't working?  Yep, that was me this week - how hard can monochromatic be, right?  It's all one color!  I had CASEd a card design that I tweaked a little here and changed a little there...just didn't like it.  So it was back to the drawing board for me, and I like this version much better.

 

I just couldn't get a good picture today, but the sentiment really is much darker.  I even colored the flat back pearls with some alcohol

inks to match the ribbon.

Hello blogland!  Just popping in with a little project from one of my favorite digi stamp spots, A Day for Daisies.  They are this week's sponsor at

Crafting by Designs and we got to pick the images we wanted to work with.....took me so long to decide because I just love so many of them.

As usual, I tend to keep to the Clean and Simple style, and kept the copic coloring to a minimum and used some diamond Stickles on the bells and ribbon, and a Unity stamped sentiment, ribbon and pearls, done!

Challenge: Prima Doll Challenge

August 6 - 12th, 2013

Hi everyone, today I've got a little project for this week's challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin - Prima Dolls. I know they're all the rage and I was so happy to get my first Prima Doll stamp, but then what? She's pretty big for a stamp, but when I started looking at the creative things everyone is doing with them, I rolled up my sleeves and jumped in.

I decided to do some paper piecing for her outfit and use a few scraps of some specialty paper and trimmed them with some flatback pearls; some glitter stickles for her headband and shoes and she was done. I added a ribbon flower I made but she still needed a little something, so some Prima pearls were it.
