Vintage Easter and Spring

Hello blogland!  Where oh where is spring?  It's sure not here in New Jersey....I think we've had more snow showers this month than we did all winter and I'm really ready for blue skies, warmer weather, birds chirping and flowers blooming!

To help get in the mood, I made a quick little card for our Wednesday challenge at Crafting by Designs to share with you today.  Nicecrane Designs is one of our new sponsors and the Design Team was given some beautiful images to work with to help get you inspired to show us your Vintage Easter and Spring creations.

I chose to use a black and white digi image and use some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and stains to get some vintage color.  There are browns and silvers and golds and even a little lilac going on here.  I popped it up on an ivory card base that's been embossed and found a vintage looking scrap to add a sentiment to and I was done.

Be sure to stop over at Crafting by Designs and join this week's challenge and show us your Vintage Easter and Spring designs, but first go on over to Nicecrane Designs and check out the beautiful digi images; you won't be sorry!!

Spring flowers

Hello blogland, Doris here. Can you believe it's March already? That means spring will be here soon, my favorite season! Some of the flowers in my yard have already started to pop up, and that helped me get inspired for this week's challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin' - flowers. I made several cards to share with you today to get your inspiration going:

I tried to mix some bright colors for this card and love the a.muse orange chevron ribbon against the card base.

Supplies used:
a.muse studio cardstock
copics
a.muse stamp set Springtime Day
a.muse chevron ribbon
memento ink, black
pop dots

I don't know what made me stamp the image on the doily, but once I did I loved how it looked and wanted to keep this card simple, and added just a little elegance with the ribbon and pearls.

Supplies used:
kraft cardstock
paper doily
flatback pearls
sheer/satin ribbon
a.muse stamp sets Springtime Days and Contemporary Greetings
memento ink, cocoa

Some fussy cut roses that I copic colored and popped them up on top of the embossed cardstock base, then distressing it just a little with some sand paper.

Supplies used:
a.muse cardstock
embossing folder
copics
memento ink, black
a.muse stamp sets All for Love and Studio Sampler One
flatback pearls
stickles
pop dots
I hope you will join us for this week's challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin'. Don't forget to get your own Amuse Products (and you won't be disappointed!)

A little umbrella challenge

Hello blogland!  I've got a sweet little card to share with you today that I did for this week's umbrella challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin'.  As you may have seen, my go-to style tends to be Clean and Simple but I really wanted to try and go outside my comfort zone on this challenge and layer it all up.....as you can see, didn't happen, I'm just not good at that. So here's version #2 of my little card:

I used a kraft cardstock base that I embossed with a swiss dot pattern, sort of looks like little raindrops and added some dimension. Instead of just stamping my umbrella images, I used some white embossing powder on some papaya cardstock then fussy cut them out and popped them up a little. A little piece of vintage lace as a border and a sentiment - boom, this little card is all set to go to a friend having surgery next week.
Supplied used:
kraft cardstock
a.muse studio papaya cardstock
white embossing powder
VersaMark
Memento mocha ink
swiss dot embossing folder
a.muse studio All For Love and Contemporary Greetings Stamp Sets
I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge. Go to Cuttin and Stampin Challenge Blog to enter your creation. I can't wait to see them! Don't forget to get your own A Muse Products (and you won't be disappointed!)
