It's time to Emboss

Hi everyone, Doris here with
the very last challenge of 2014 at

This week we're doing all kinds of embossing,
which is something I don't do enough of and should,
it's such fun!

I've got two projects to share with you today.
The first is using Christmas Words Noel
from
Bugaboo Stamps

I used two embossing folders on this image then
fussy cut it out and added some stickles.

For my next project I used  Mr. Snowman 2
from Heather Ellis' etsy store  , which I am very sad
is closing at the end of this month, so hop on over
there before December 31 for some adorable images!

I used two embossing folders on this project as well and distressed
the bottom layer.  Stickles makes everything pretty, especially
on a snowman :)

So be sure to hop on over to Crafting by Designs HERE by December 28
and enter your embossing projects for a chance to win
some crafty goodness from these lovely sponsors.

Wishing you all a holiday filled with peace and joy
and a New Year filled with health and happiness!

Getting Ready for Christmas - November edition

Hi everyone, Doris here with the
November edition of
Get Ready for Christmas
at Crafting by Designs.

It's only 5 weeks away so I need to
get going with my stash of cards!
Here's my project for this week's challenge:

I decided to go thru my scraps drawer and pulled out a
few pieces of paper to play with; I used an embossing folder
then cut that into 3 sections, added a piece on top of that
and topped it all off with an embellishment from K&Co and
a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  These
went so fast I think I'll make a batch of them :)

Hop on over to Crafting by Designs HERE and enter your
Christmas projects by November 25 for a chance

Weekly Challenge 14-24
Birthdays

Hi everyone, Doris here with some
Pocket Page layouts for Cuttin' and Stampin'.

For this week's challenge, we're celebrating birthdays,
and I used some papers from the
Jillibean Birthday Bisque Paper line and stamp set.
These products and so much more are available at

My daughters know that when it's their birthday, I'm
going to take their pictures, no matter how old they get,
and this year was no exception.
The first is from my oldest daughter's
surprise 30th birthday party which had
an Irish/Scottish theme and was held in an Irish Pub.

Next is for middle daughter who asked for an
ice cream cake this year, and milk :)

And last but not least is the baby of
the family who asks for the same thing
every year - a big bowl of chocolate dirt cake!

As you can see, I used lots of bits and pieces of the
Jillibean Birthday Bisque paper and die cut elements
for each of the cards - this is a great set!

Come on over to Cuttin' and Stampin' and show us
your birthday projects by June 23.
