Cuttin' and Stampin' - using left overs!

#51
Challenge: Anything goes using your Left Overs

December 24th - 30th, 2013

Hi everyone, Doris here today with my last project
for 2013 for Cuttin' and Stampin.

I am a big scrap saver, especially of paper that I really like, and I must
really like paper because I have 4 drawers filled with left
over scraps from some of my favorite papers.
I pulled some out today for a simple and quick birthday card.

Who can't smile at a butterfly in the winter? I used a small Hero Arts die to cut all the butterflies which were sitting on some pop dots, and added a sentiment from a Paper Smooches stamp set called Sentimental Sampler.
Ok, your turn to show us how you use some of your left over papers!

Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'.

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on January 3, 2014.

Please link your projects HERE.

Cuttin' and Stampin' Design Team Call 2014

Hello blogland, Doris here and this post is my application for the 2014
Cuttin' and Stampin' Design Team.

I've been fortunate to have been on this DT this past year and I must
say, I had such fun with this group of gals, and would
love to join the team again!

I've been doing some sort of crafting my whole life, but card making
and scrapbooks have been joined lately by the
Silhouette Cameo along with my own version of Project Life.

Here are a few of my very favorite projects from this year.

Thanks for a wonderful year as part of the Cuttin' and Stampin' team
and crossing my fingers for another !

Cuttin' and Stampin' - Christmas Tags!

December 17th - 23th, 2013

The Design Team is sharing Christmas Tags with you this week.
Sure hope we inspire you with your own creations.
Make sure you turn around and share with us!

Hi everyone, Doris here today with some quick and easy Christmas Tags made from the Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler stamp set.  These were all made from pieces of cardstock and ribbon from my scrap bins and took no time at all; they're all attached to some gifts under the tree.  I planned to make just one tag, but this stamp set was such fun I
just kept going and made more!

This little guy is my favorite and I spent just a little more time on him.
I used some glittery embossing powder to add some snowflake behind the snowman, which is a Sizzix die.

Now it's your turn to show us some tags. Please make sure your creation
post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'.

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on December 27, 2013.

One Great Big Double Challenge to Close Out 2014 at Crafting by Designs

Hello blogland, Doris here with the last challenge of 2014 at
and it's a great big DOUBLE CHALLENGE!

We decided to combine our last two challenges of the year so the
design team could take a week off and enjoy the holiday.

For the first challenge, we're Wrapping Up 2013 and
our second challenge welcomes All Things New for 2014.

Take a peek at my projects:

Bugaboo Stamps is the sponsor of our first challenge, and I used
the Rudolph Tag for my projects.  One was colored with Copics, another was paper pieced and the the last was made using my Silhouette and some glitter.  How cute is this image?

Our second sponsor is Cindy Leek, a DT mate and Close to My Heart consultant.  I made this New home card using my Silhouette,
and Doodlebug embellishments.

This Double Challenge is open from December 18 to December 31.  Why not hop on over HERE and enter your projects now for TWO chances to win.
We've got some great things planned for Crafting by Designs in
2014 and hope you'll stop by and join us every week!

White on White Challenge

Hello blogland, Doris here with a new challenge from Crafting by Designs today.
I thought a white on white challenge would be easy,
but I really struggled with this one.  I'm not
very good with lots of layers and clean and simple is
my go-to style of card making, but once I got going, this was lots of fun.

Our challenge was to make either an all white project or only color the main image and make the rest of the project white, so it was time to break out the embossing folders and let them do the work for me.

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and I chose
Santa Pin Up to add to my project:

Instead of layers, I chose to simply add some white ribbon to
my embossed card and pop the image up on some foam dots for a bit of dimension, and it was done.  We'd love to see your white on white projects at Crafting by Designs this week, and one lucky winner will win some digi images from Sassy Studio Designs - will it be you?  This challenge will be open until December 17, 2013.
