Cuttin' and Stampin' Blog Hop

Hi everyone, Doris here.
Can you believe Cuttin' and Stampin" Challenge Blog has
been going for over a year now? It has gone by so fast and we
have had so much fun creating and sharing projects with you.

I'm so thrilled to be on the Design Team once again!  Wait till you
see all the fabulous inspiration planned.  We've been
split into two groups, so every day you'll get a new
dose of wonderful from Cuttin' and Stampin'!
And to celebrate, we're kicking things off with a
2 part, 2 day blog hop with the whole team.

Today we are introducing the Green Team (that's me).
You should have come here from Vickie's blog, Stuff by Vickie.
I'm the last stop on today's hop, but if you didn't start at the
beginning, go HERE.

I have two little projects I'd like to share with you today.
My go-to style is usually Clean and Simple, and
I think these cards reflects that style.

Even though there's a little bit of layering, this card took very
little time to put together, and is one of my favorites.

This card was also quick to make, and I love the color combination
with a little pop of red and white.  I die cut a piece of wide rosette
trim the same shape as the heart die cut, added 2 little
pieces of the red/white ribbon and some white pearls on wire
I found in my scrap box. Fun, right?

So that's today's blog hop.  In case you got lost or didn't
start at the beginning, here's today's line up:

GREEN TEAM Line Up

Getting My Girly Girl On

Hello blogland, Doris here with a brand new challenge that starts today at
Crafting by Designs.  Our theme - Girly Girl.  And we're thrilled to welcome
a brand new sponsor this week - All Dressed Up Stamps

We picked the theme for this challenge after seeing the adorable images in their Etsy shop,  and I picked Sweetie Pie.

Is she cute or what?  I used a piece of DCWV paper from an old Valentine's stack, a white doiley and a few pieces from my scrap drawer.  The stickles didn't photograph too well on her bows, but they're there :)

Want a chance to win some digi goodness from All Dressed Up Stamps
Come enter your Girly Girl project at Crafting by Designs by January 28 HERE.
See you next time :)

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to see some spring flowers!
Our challenge this week is flowers and we're so excited to
welcome a brand new sponsor to Crafting by Designs this week

The Design Team and I were lucky enough to be able to pick
out which images we wanted to work with, and I chose these from their store:

Happy Flowers

This is a pre-colored set which I printed out twice, did some fussy cutting
and layered to give it some dimension.  Such bright happy colors!

Rainbow Set

This is the uncolored version which I printed several times on some patterned papers and did lots of fussy cutting, curled the edges and added a fancy brad
as the flower centers for a nice dimensional look.  All the papers came
out of my scrap drawer.

Ok, your turn - want a chance to win some beautiful flowers from
Fred, She Said?  Just hop on over to Crafting by Designs HERE and enter your project before Tuesday January 21.  And don't forget about our
Almost Month Long Anything Goes challenge HERE that's open until

Anything Goes with a Winter Challenge

January 14 - 20, 2014

Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes with Winter
It seems like most of the country is covered in snow right now, so lets have a challenge creating things about winter. The design team has been working with the Bo Bunny Winter Wonderland collection.

Hello blogland, Doris here to share not one, not two, but three cards I made using this yummy Bo Bunny Winter Wonderland paper collection,
along with some elements from the collection
and the Paper Smooches Fresh Snow stamp set.

I used some white embossing powder on this snowflake that was cut
using my Silhouette Cameo and put it on top of a die cut from the collection,
with a button on top of that and used some scrap pieces of white raffia.

A scrap piece of white cardstock was run thru my BigShot with a snowflake
embossing folder, then cut into three and layered on top of a
piece of the paper from the collection.  Since I already had my Silhouette out,
I made a little print and cut piece to add at the bottom along with
more white rafia and another wood button and snowflake - done.

I decided to use the negative piece from the snowflake on card #1 and layered it on top of another piece of cardstock from the collection that was also embossed with the BigShot, then added some white heat embossed snowflakes from the Paper Smooches Fresh Snow stamp set.
Three cards, 15 minutes, done :)

Now's your change to to create something about winter and enter it in this week's challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin'. You can enter Here.
