Oh Baby!

Hello blogland!  My go-to style has always been Clean and Simple, but today I pushed myself to do some layering to go along with a black/white digi image from Delicious Doodles - whatcha' think?

This is my project for this week's challenge at Crafting by Designs - Anything Goes with a Twist, Oh Baby!  I kept the digi image black/white but added some bright yellow to make the image pop.  Layering gets me nervous: too much, too little, not very good at it, but I think these layers of color compliment the image pretty nicely.  Come on over to Crafting by Designs and join us for our Oh Baby challenge and your chance to win some great digi images from our sponsor Delicious Doodles!

Thank You Card Challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin"

Hi everyone, Doris here to share a few little projects today. I like to keep some ready-to-go basic cards in my stash, don't you? This way I can grab and go when I need a quick card, and today I have two Thank-You cards
I just added to my stash.

I used a Hero Arts card base and wanted some color, and
I grabbed some VersaMark inks and a few washi tapes.

For the second card I also used a Hero Arts card base and
the same VersaMark inks along with some bakers twine.
To give the card some dimension, I used a 2" scallop circle
punch on the front and added the sentiment
to the inside. Ba-zinga! Two thank you
cards for my stash finished in less than 5 minutes!

We'd love you to link up and join our challenge - go HERE

Spring Flowers Blog Hop

Hello blogland!  Two posts in one day?  I think that's a first for me!  You should have come here from Cindy's blog, and I've got another lovely little card to share today - this time for a little blog hop at Crafting by Designs's where we're showing off our Spring Flowers projects using images from QKR Stampede.

I don't know why I hesitate using digi stamps sometimes because this one was a TON of fun to work with! My garden is starting to come alive with color of spring flowers and I see some little rose buds just waiting to burst open, and I was happy I had to be able to use this little QKR Stampede image that I colored with some Copics; the sentiment is from a.muse stamps.  Layering was simple - a few pieces of scrap design paper from American Craft, some washi tape strips and a little piece of bakers twine - done.

Be sure to stop at all the Design Team's blog and check out their creations using QKR Stampede images, then head back to the Crafting by Designs blog and add your project for a chance to win 5 digi images from them.  Your next stop is is Julia at Julia's Paper and Scraps Creations, and if you get lost, here's the whole line up:

Pretty Spring Gardens

Hello blogland!  Spring has FINALLY arrived and my garden is full of color, and the daffodils were the inspiration for this week's Garden Challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin'.

I chose an several shades of green papers and velumn along some green washi tapes as the accents for this daffodil image from Flourishes. No matter what color copics you have, they just can't beat the true colors of daffodils and the grass when spring wakes everything up; they just make me smile :)
