There is so much detail in this adorable digi image and I had a ball coloring it with some copics, and used some glitter stickles for the snow then popped the image up on some light blue snowflake cardstock.

Anything Goes with a Birthday Twist and Lunagirl

Hello blogland, Doris here with a fun new challenge at Crafting by Designs.  This week our challenge is a Birthday twist and our sponsor is Lunagirl.

http://lunagirl.com

If you've never checked out Lunagirl, be sure you do - their images are just fantastic!  The design team and I had some wonderful images to work with and some of the Lunagirl design team also joined us.

Here's my project:

I used some kraft cardstock and a vintage looking piece of designer paper from Prima as the base and popped up the Lunagirl images, and added some tea dyed seam binding I found in my stash.  And now I have a lovely vintage birthday card to add to my stash!

Be sure to stop over at Crafting by Designs before November 26th to add your birthday project to our challenge for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Lunagirl store!

Remembering Family with a Cuttin and Stampin challenge!

#45
Challenge: Anything Goes with a Family twist

November 12 - 18, 2013

We are celebrating family this week.

Hi everyone, Doris here with my project for this week's challenge - Remembering Family.  I do a lot of genealogy research and have a ton of old family pictures, so when I ran across one of my favorite pictures I decided to use it in my project this week.

This picture is from my Aunt's wedding 65 years ago and includes my grandparents, my Mom (wearing the hat on the left) and all her siblings. It's great to see them all so young, and happy and enjoying the day, and I'm so glad I have this picture.

I used some paper from MME Chalk Studio and the Kinfolk stamp set from Paper Smooches, along with a clear photo overlay and some Prima Flowers for this little layout that will I plan to put in a shadowbox frame.  I also added a little wire Family embellishment from my stash to the top.

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on November 22, 2013.  Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'.

We want to Give Thanks for all the wonderful things in out lives.

Hi everyone, Doris here today to share a fun little Thank You card.
I don't know about you, but I like to keep a few Thank You cards made and ready to grab when I need them, and when I got the Many Thanks stamp set from Paper Smooches, I knew it would be a new favorite to use over and over again.  I paired that up with some paper pieces from the Bazzill Autumn Harvest paper pad to make this thank you card for my stash.

This stamp set is on sale right now in the Cuttin' and Stampin' store you can find right HERE!

It's time for an Autumn Harvest

#43
Challenge: Autumn Harvest

October 29 - November 4, 2013

Hi everyone, Doris here with my project for this week's challenge.

My go-to style of card making is usually clean and simple,
but for this card I wanted it to reflect the bright colors of
the season as well as the colorful papers in the
Doodlebug Happy Harvest pack, so I did some paper piecing.
It really didn't take long, the leaves were cut with my Silhouette but
everything else was fussy cut.  The stamp set I used is
Autumn Groves by Paper Smooches and is just adorable: you can
find it in the Cuttin' and Stampin' store HERE.

Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'.

Thanks for playing along we will be announcing the winners on November 8, 2013.
