Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!

Hello blogland - Doris here to share this week's new challenge at

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to see some spring flowers!
Our challenge this week is flowers and we're so excited to
welcome a brand new sponsor to Crafting by Designs this week

The Design Team and I were lucky enough to be able to pick
out which images we wanted to work with, and I chose these from their store:

Happy Flowers

This is a pre-colored set which I printed out twice, did some fussy cutting
and layered to give it some dimension.  Such bright happy colors!

Rainbow Set

This is the uncolored version which I printed several times on some patterned papers and did lots of fussy cutting, curled the edges and added a fancy brad
as the flower centers for a nice dimensional look.  All the papers came
out of my scrap drawer.

Ok, your turn - want a chance to win some beautiful flowers from
Fred, She Said?  Just hop on over to Crafting by Designs HERE and enter your project before Tuesday January 21.  And don't forget about our
Almost Month Long Anything Goes challenge HERE that's open until

Anything Goes with a Winter Challenge

January 14 - 20, 2014

Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes with Winter
It seems like most of the country is covered in snow right now, so lets have a challenge creating things about winter. The design team has been working with the Bo Bunny Winter Wonderland collection.

Hello blogland, Doris here to share not one, not two, but three cards I made using this yummy Bo Bunny Winter Wonderland paper collection,
along with some elements from the collection
and the Paper Smooches Fresh Snow stamp set.

I used some white embossing powder on this snowflake that was cut
using my Silhouette Cameo and put it on top of a die cut from the collection,
with a button on top of that and used some scrap pieces of white raffia.

A scrap piece of white cardstock was run thru my BigShot with a snowflake
embossing folder, then cut into three and layered on top of a
piece of the paper from the collection.  Since I already had my Silhouette out,
I made a little print and cut piece to add at the bottom along with
more white rafia and another wood button and snowflake - done.

I decided to use the negative piece from the snowflake on card #1 and layered it on top of another piece of cardstock from the collection that was also embossed with the BigShot, then added some white heat embossed snowflakes from the Paper Smooches Fresh Snow stamp set.
Three cards, 15 minutes, done :)

Now's your change to to create something about winter and enter it in this week's challenge at Cuttin' and Stampin'. You can enter Here.
